I only remember Care Bears too well! They were out of my price range at the time, so I learned to sew and made our own which turned out pretty good. 60 pieces of fur fabric I had to cut and sew together! I did it at night when the boys were asleep and so they could have their own Care Bears!

I LOVE your Mother's teetery little posture in (please tell me it was a "sack" dress---the nouveau Sixties' garment which touched only bust and hips---very chic. And your brothers, with their Easter suits still on, delving into those baskets of goodies!! Exactly the same at my house, but mine were probably all under four.
