AWWWW!! I can see every moment of your up-to-now in your sweet face. We had the Olan Mills plan, as well---in fact I spent a couple of years "booking" and reminding folks on our local phone line of their appointments. The photographer would come to a tee-ninecy motel nearby, and the whole county would be spruced up and shined for all the six-month and three-month plans.
The one of my children that I remember most was made on July 20, 1969---the day Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. The photographer spread a little fluffy rug on a table before the backdrop, and all three kiddos lapped arms, looking West and behaving. The fun thing is that when I met Chris who was a fine photographer himself, all the grown-up three were at our house on the Alabama coast the weekend of the Moon Landing anniversary in 1989, and I have a splendid sepia-gold photo of all three of my twenty-somethings, arms linked and shiny.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit! I love your comments and suggestions and read them all. Due to spam, I will now have to approve all comments. Sometimes it takes me a hot minute to authorize comments due to grandchildren commitments. I apologize but I can't let those scammers get the upper hand!
I think we all had a version of those bangs at one time. Cute!
ReplyDeleteLove those Olan Mills portraits! Well Miss Merry, you had very pretty hair and I still recognize you from your photo 🙂❤️
ReplyDeleteI had bangs like that too!
ReplyDeleteI've forgotten about Olan Mills photo plans. Didn't we all have bangs like that at one time or another in our lives?
ReplyDeleteI Have a remarkably similar photo around here somewhere.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy

You were adorable!
ReplyDeleteEveryone had those bangs! You were a cute kid!
ReplyDeleteYes indeed. There is not a one of us ladies who did NOT have bangs like that.
ReplyDeleteI did not have bangs because I had wild, curly, uncombed hair. Haha
ReplyDeleteI stand corrected😃
DeleteI had those bangs, too funny. Is Olan Mills still around? Great photo of your great smile.
