Reboot

Blog - Life Happens - Blog - Life Happens

Worse than Lifetime Movie Life Happens. More like Nightmare Theater Life Happens. Well, that kinda sums it up. And sometimes so much Life Happens that you can't even pretend that you can set a table or paint a room or, you know, stop and smell the roses (as in breathe).

But enough about that! This is blogland, not the real world, so let's get to the good stuff!

My last post was a newborn baby boy grandson! (I called him Hootie and gave him this hat before I met him)
And if that wasn't enough - the evening he was born by surprise - my youngest daughter and her boyfriend stopped by to show us a diamond and rename him fiance!
And while I was quickly planning and preparing the bridal shower,
another baby boy grandson; this one a baby brother grandson with a head full of hair (and doesn't the fold in the screen look like a halo?)
and then a wedding!  (and FYI - a homemade brooch bouquet tutorial someday)
So, in the midst of Life Happening, there were some rays of sunshine!

And today, January 24, 2015, in spite of Life Still Happening, I set my table. So there.

  7. So there, indeed! That sounds like a Year's Worth of sublime, right there!! What a time, what a time.

Two babies and a new marriage---you must be completely cold, with all your buttons busted off like that.

I'm in awe that you can find your shoes, and the table looks elegant and welcoming.

Thank you SO much for visiting us at LAWN TEA. I've been out of every loop there is for quite some time, and am just now getting a post or two up now and then, and have so missed following along on others.

says rachel, who hasn't set a proper table since Christmas Eve, with nothing like an excuse..

  11. So glad you could drop in again on LAWN TEA!! Those grandchildren do run us a race, don't they?

Hope all is better in your world, and that you're staying well and warm. I DO love Rue's little typo above---Tables capes would cover it nicely (no pun intended) I think---the dashing ones with dishes stacked into tiers and a swath of greenery or flowers, and glittery and blingy and especially the heroic red-white-and-blue ones, like super-heroes to the furniture set.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit! I love your comments and suggestions and read them all. Due to spam, I will now have to approve all comments. Sometimes it takes me a hot minute to authorize comments due to grandchildren commitments. I apologize but I can't let those scammers get the upper hand!
