So true. I push back at any curtailment of my freedom or the freedom of other citizens. In the beautiful quote you share from Hitler's time the guns were confiscated from citizens so when armed people showed up to drag people away it was hard to push back.
I know. It is sad that after all the bigotry, racial tones and threats during this election I feel the need to arm myself against my own government, too.
I have always loved that quote! I spoke with a man who personally lived in China when they marched all the teachers over the hill to be shot ----in one area... He said he was jumping for joy with his classmates because there would be no school tomorrow... and then they all stopped and stared at the ground because they realized there would never be a school like that again. Sad.
I too love that quote and now it is March and things are not getting any better. My daughter is a teacher and a union member for the teachers and she just told me they have to get separate emails now to communicate so that the school won't know who are union members or leaders so they can't single them out. Scary already!
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit! I love your comments and suggestions and read them all. Due to spam, I will now have to approve all comments. Sometimes it takes me a hot minute to authorize comments due to grandchildren commitments. I apologize but I can't let those scammers get the upper hand!
