Size Matters and Taylor Swift

50% of American Women stand 5'5" or less.  The average height for American Women is 5'3".

Why can't women 5'5" and under find slacks, pants, or jeans that are short enough?

I wanted to clarify I did order "short" jeans. I believe that, since I am also "wide", they make short jeans longer.  And most stores do not even carry the short length in stock.  Some of the jeans I purchased were 6" too long which means the manufacturer is making jeans for women almost 5'11".

Boo.

Meanwhile.

It was Taylor Swift Saturday!!!

We all had our accessory bags!

Everyone took photos of each other.  These two tied their boas together because they are BFFs.

A mom with two daughters took our photo and we took the photo of a couple who were even older than me!

Everyone of all ages was exchanging bracelets. I had extra headpieces (since I bought them in sets) and passed those out too.

These two sang along with the lyrics on screen even though they did not know the music. No one cared. We all applauded and cheered at each scene and track change. We would like to thank Taylor Swift for using family appropriate lyrics in the movie event.

We had a fantastic time at the show!  The girls were so excited that we spent almost two hours at lunch after the show. Gramma is tired!!!

  2. Miss Merry, I know too well that all jeans are generally too long... and since I'm not much of a seamstress, I used to just cut the extra length off or pay to have them shortened. Nowadays I just look for 'short' or order it. And I don't understand why most stores don't carry it...
And it looks like you all had a really good time at the Taylor Swift event. I'll bet you ARE tired.

  4. That looks like a great day out. Boas and all! I think they're still making jeans as if everyone wore high platform shoes.

  7. I hear you on jeans. Same deal with me at 5'4". I try to find "short" (Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans come in "short" and they fit me. So at least I know what to look for. But boy, after all that fun, I bet you are whipped!

  9. Oh fun, fun, fun. I know girls that age are all into Taylor, I however, I am not. lol . As for being tall, yep, that is not me. I was tall in grade school at an early age but when 9th grade came around, everyone else grew, except me. Then everyone ended up tall than me. I stopped at 5'2

  10. Everybody enjoyed the show, that’s obvious! I am surprised that the average height of American women is only 5’3”. I guess it’s because Asian Americans were included in this survey.

  11. I tend to have the opposite problem with jeans and pants. I'm just a hair over 5'7, but very leggy (very short torso) for my height. I hate the ankle pants trend!

It looks like y'all had a great time at the Taylor Swift event. :-)
