It started with a 3' raised metal planter to put two tomato plants, a second planter for pepper plants.
Then he wanted two more planters for zucchini, squash and cucumbers.
And then he wanted one more for lettuce and beans.
This was what he brought in on Thursday night to join what was in my frig.
Tonight I made nine 1/2 pints of freezer pickles. Tomorrow I start freezing tomatoes. He tells me zucchini is ready.
Am I ready for this?

Ready or not! Nice haul from your garden!
ReplyDeleteLook at all those pickles! Everything looks delicious! 😋😋😋
ReplyDeleteOh my! But this is such a good thing with the great food from your little garden! Well done.
ReplyDeleteIt will taste so yummy come later on this year when you make meals!
Makes me think of that old poem - "Merry, Merry, how does your garden grow?"
ReplyDeleteYours is growing very well! The tomatoes are gorgeous. Ours are not nearly that far along.
I have never heard of freezer pickles, but they are certainly something that I mean to try. Envious of your garden bounty! I've got blossoms on my tomatoes. I've got buds on my peppers. I have nothing at all to pick!
ReplyDeleteYummy harvest! I do miss my garden and putting up tomatoes and zuchinni to get us through the winter. But no, you're never ready for the influx of veggies to be prepared. Especially with your busy life. I don't know when you'll fit it in.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
You will be very happy you did do this when it's winter. Our growing season starts later so I have nothing yet.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, Miss Merry, you are amazing. Our container garden is limited to just bell peppers this year... but they are doing pretty well. But my inside plants are really thriving, making new growth everywhere. My front room may yet get to look like a conservatory...
ReplyDeleteI never knew you could do tomatoes in the freezer, but I think it will be something that I try this year. I'm learning quite a bit from you lately, lady!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Well, it looks great. But wow!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your harvests! My container gardening hasn't gone super well this year.
